Ben Johncock was born in Canterbury, Kent and studied Ancient History and Archaeology at the University of Birmingham.

It was here that he began his career as a freelance writer and editor and wrote his first novel.

In 2001, he moved to London and found regular work writing for the music and lifestyle press, as well as the rock band, Feeder.  He also began writing a novel called Titanium Soul.

In 2002, he accepted a job at the world-famous Wembley Arena, handling the marketing and press for both the venue and the artists who played there, juggling his writing around the demanding role.

After marrying in 2004, he took early retirement to work in undemanding, stress-free environments and concentrate on his fiction, writing his third novel, Arthur.

He now writes for four hours a day and is employed elsewhere for seven.

He is currently working on a new, as yet untitled, novel.

Ben is 31 years old and lives in Hampstead, London, with a wife and a growing family of Macs.
